MicroSD cards are portable flash memory cards that can be swapped between different devices for instant and secure memory storage. They are used by everything from desktop and laptop computers to digital cameras and handheld video game consoles.
MicroSD cards are the most recent addition to the SD card lineup. They are most often used by cell phones, tablets, and other small devices.
The largest MicroSD cards available to consumers come in at 32GB, but higher-capacity cards are being developed.
If you’d like to hand out MicroSD cards as a promotional item, you can customize each card with your business name or logo. Full-color printing is available.
MicroSD and SD memory cards are related and both serve to store important data. SD cards are obviously larger, measuring about 1 by 1½ inches. There are converters that allow SD-compatible devices to read MicroSD cards. The SD card is the only format that has write protection, which prevents you from losing data by mistakenly writing new data on top of it. The locking slide switch on the SD card makes the card read-only.
